Il recupero delle risorse vede il valore delle risorse che sono spesso viste come rifiuti. Una componente centrale nella creazione di risorse dai rifiuti è rappresentata da sistemi efficienti in grado di recuperare e trasformare i rifiuti in qualcosa di valore. Per consentire questo, e per ridurre l'ulteriore produzione di rifiuti, la gestione delle catene di approvvigionamento è fondamentale. Questi argomenti sono strettamente collegati, ma spesso vengono trattati separatamente in corsi accademici diversi.

L'International Master of Science in Textile Engineering è un programma di master di 2 anni che forma la prossima generazione di ingegneri tessili.\nIl primo semestre si studia all'Università di Gand in Belgio, il secondo semestre all'Università Politecnica di Valencia in Spagna (per l'anno accademico 2022-2023), il terzo semestre si può scegliere tra l'Università di Borås in Svezia o il Kyoto Institute of Technology in Giappone.
