This program integrates technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial concepts in construction project management, equipping students with essential knowledge and skills for contemporary construction practices. Delivered by a multidisciplinary team of academics and industry experts, it addresses challenges in managing complex construction projects, emphasizing resource efficiency, environmental considerations, and social impacts. Students gain leadership skills, the ability to analyze and improve business processes, and the capacity to evaluate sustainable design proposals.

English language standard of IELTS 6.0 (no component band below 5.5) or Grade C in A-Level, IGCSE or GCSE English Language, or equivalent Abertay-approved English language test

At least a lower second-class (2:2) honors degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, and other construction-related disciplines

Applicants from Singapore will typically require a Bachelor's (Honours) degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (4-point scale) or 3.5 (5-point scale) in either Civil Engineering, Building
Technology, Construction Management, or other construction-related disciplines

For students from China, applicants will typically require a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 70% in either Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or other construction-related disciplines

For students from India, applicants will typically require a Bachelor of Arts / Science / Commerce / Professional Subject with a minimum GPA of 2.9 (4-point scale) or 55-65% in either Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management or other construction-related disciplines

Applicants will also be required to have undertaken Independent Research

For undergraduate programs and entry to the Master’s programs with advanced standing, all entry qualifications must have been completed within the normal duration for each qualification and not more than 24 months prior to registration for the Program

For those undertaking a full 180 credits from the Master’s programs, it is expected that there may have been some time since their original qualification, to allow for work experience

International Applicants can use the Document Checklist to aid them in preparing the necessary documents required for their application to the Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM).

Applicants from Visa Required Countries will require additional documentation to demonstrate their financial capabilities.

All applicants below the age of 18 years must get their parents or guardians to sign the applicable forms.

Students are advised to submit their application at least two months before the course commencement date

Applicants are to submit the completed Application Form together with Education certificates and transcripts and photocopy of passport to your local agent

Prospective students should be aware of the EduTrust certification scheme, Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), and Terms & Conditions of the Refund as contained in the Standard PEI-Student contract

Step 2: Processing of Student Application

If your application is admissible, you will receive an official “Letter of Offer” issued by NIM via email. Please send your Application Fees of SGD436 (non-refundable and non-transferable) to NIM.

The processing time for the Student Pass application is about 4 weeks upon receipt of the application by ICA.

The student is required to prepare and the courier to Nanyang Institute of Management the following documents for the student pass application:

Highest Educational Certificates and Transcripts

Personal particular pages of the applicant’s travel document (photocopy)

Other supporting documents required by ICA (if necessary) **

Step 4: Processing of Student Pass and Fee Collection

Applicants will be notified if NIM receives the applicant In-Principle Approval Letter from ICA.

NIM will inform applicants to sign the Standard PEI-Student Contract and Advisory Note (Form 12) and to make arrangements to pay the 1st installment of the course fees upon successful application of a student pass.

Upon receiving the signed Standard PEI-Student Contract and Advisory Note, NIM will process the student’s Entry Visa. The Entry Visa will be sent to the student by NIM or their Agent electronically.

Once students receive a copy of the Entry Visa/ In-Principal Approval Letter, they can make their travel arrangements. They should arrive in Singapore 1 week before the class commencement date and students will be required to inform the institute upon confirmation of their arrival date in Singapore.

Student must inform the institute at least 3 working days before their arrival in Singapore if they require airport transfer and/or accommodation arrangement services.

Upon arrival in school, NIM staff will arrange for the student to complete the formalities for enrolment and thereafter collect student passes from ICA. Students must produce all the original documentary copies (including Standard PEI-Student Contract and Advisory Note) to NIM when completing the formalities for enrolment.

Assessment of modules comprises assessable coursework and/or a final written examination. The assessable coursework may include individual and/or group assignments such as project proposals, reports, business plans, written assignments, presentations, essays, case studies, tests, and/or syndicate work.

This course is entirely delivered in Singapore. Students will have access to locally qualified lecturers and academic resources provided by the Nanyang Institute of Management. There will be a combination of lectures, tutorials, site visits, workshops, seminars, and presentations. Students may also be given additional work to complete outside of scheduled classes. Resources and materials provided for students include lecture notes and references for further reading in books, publications, articles, and websites.
